Sandys, Vivian & Co
Sandys, Vivian & Co did not specialize in bells like Whitechapel and Gilletts, but instead they were part of the Copper House Foundry.
Their company was based in Hayle, a small village in Cornwall. They only ever cast one bell and of all places it came to Langley Green. The bell was cast in 1852 and measures 20.50" in diameter. It also has a Doncaster head, Doncaster canons were slowly coming into fashion at that time being classed as the modern style of canon. This bell was first at the Penandrea mine in redruth till 1880. From 1880 until 1937 it was at Redruth, St Andrew. This church does not appear to have a bell anymore. The bell was later transferred to Langley Green. It hung in a small bellcote in the North East side of the tower and probably hung dead and clocked judging by the headstock it is strapped too.
Unfortunately their only bell is now unhung on the floor behind a curtain.
They used rather smooth looking letters on their inscription.
