3.1 Frame Layout
The 3.1 layout is similar to the the 2.X1 layout. The 2.X1 consists of both of the bells swinging side by side in the same direction or opposite. The 3.1 is similar because it has all 3 of the bells hung side by side in a row either facing the same direction meaning the ropes fall down in a straight line or they can swing in the opposite direction with the ropes in a sort of circle. The 3.1 layout is also included within another frame layout. If you look at the 5.1 layout, you will see that there is a 3.1 with an extra 2 bells swing perpendicular to those 3 too.
Coldwaltham is the only example in this directory at the moment but it is quite tricky to see the 3.1 layout to some non ringers as they are not within a square a such. I hope to get a better picture of the 3.1 layout to put in the photographic example soon!
